General notes about condition statements of antiquarian books.

  1. The subject of sale are USED books or any other printed material such as posters, cards, folder, leaflets, maps, etc. and are treated as such unless otherwise indicated.

  2. The description of items and thus the description of their condition are taking their age into consideration.

  3. Pictures are part of the description.

  4. Paperbacks may differ in description from hardcover books. As paperbacks show generally stronger signs of use especially to the cover. Like new condition antiquarian paperbacks are rare and therefore achive a higher selling prizes. In case of czechoslovak books from first half of the 20th century many editions were originally published and broadly distributed as low cost paperback editions. These paperback editions are rarly to be found in exceptionally like new conditions.
